Week 3 {I Love Damask}

So, Nick and I will be moving in about 2 weeks. As much as I loath packing and hauling boxes, then putting everything away, it does afford me several opportunities. First, I get to go through and get rid of stuff that we don't use or need. I also get to re-organize all of our belongings and give everything a nice deep cleaning. Most importantly, I get to re-decorate! Yes, my wonderful husband has given me the green light to decorate our new home. I ran across a beautiful black and white damask comforter for a great price and fell in love. I have always wanted to have a room decorated in black and white with red accents, I will finally have my wish. Of course, we need some awesome wall art, so I decided to find 3 different styles of damask print and paint them on 20" x 20" panels to hang over our headboard in the bedroom. It was very tedious and time consuming to cut out the design and trace it onto the panels, then paint with a steady hand, but I did it! I am very pleased with the outcome if I do say so myself.
